登機 Boarding
Sam第一次出國，一到機場就被各家航空公司的登機櫃台（check-in counter）弄得暈頭轉向。確認自己該到哪個櫃台報到後，又手忙腳亂，到底是要先托運行李還是先拿護照，還好地勤人員（ground crew）清楚的指示，Sam終於順利拿到登機證（boarding pass），但這上面資訊在說些什麼？要去哪登機呢？
登機證上有幾項基本資訊，一是乘客（passenger）大名，二是要搭乘的班機號碼（flight number），三是目的地（destination）。最重要的一定要知道登機門 （gate） 號碼和起飛時間（departure time），大部份的登機證都會印出登機時間（boarding time），最後再看一下座位號碼（seat number），這樣上機時才知道要坐哪裡！

很快就到了登機時間，Sam趕緊加快腳步前往登機門候機。可是到了候機區，卻沒看到其他等待的旅客，反而聽到空服人員正在廣播重要訊息…
機場廣播通常都是提供異動資訊，或是最後呼叫乘客登機。通常航空公司廣播班機異動訊息，大多都不太妙，事小是改登機門 （gate change） 或是班機延誤（delay），最慘的則是航班取消（cancellation）。異動主因有可能是天氣因素（bad weather conditions），一旦到了候機區發現情況不對，又錯過廣播訊息的話，可要留意螢幕資訊，或是趕緊找人詢問！

due to「因為；由於」在此處的用法和because of相近，通常用來說明「原因」。由於due to是片語形式，後面要直接加上名詞。在機場廣播中你常會聽到這個用法，此時通常都是公告班機異動的原因，所以要特別留意due to後面所接的詞語，才不會錯過了重要訊息！
