【單詞解析】
「psyche」一字，是很多心理相關詞彙的字首。常見到的有「psychology（心理學）」，「psychoanalysis（心理分析）」，「psychiatry（精神病學）」等。精準一點的說法，「psyche」是人類腦部活動，包括意識與潛意識的總稱。此字源於希臘，古希臘哲學家柏拉圖（Plato），蘇格拉底（Socrates），亞里斯多德（Aristotle）都曾對 psyche做過仔細的探索和討論。在西方古典文學裡，「psyche」跟「soul」及「mind」是互通的，然而現在「soul（靈魂）」與 「psyche」的使用，基本上已經分開，各有各的固定用法了。
