A: Attendant K: Kevin
Kevin is waiting to board his flight at the gate.

A: Would passengers, Kevin Liu, Hiro Tanaka, and Jane Smith, please come to the counter?
K: Hello, I’m Kevin Liu. What is it?
A: Sir, this flight is currently overbooked. Since you’re flying standby, we’re going to have to put you on the next flight which is in six hours.
K: But I have a connection that I have to make in Tokyo.
A: Are you also booked with us for that flight?
K: No, I think I’m with Air Japan.
A: That’s fine. They’re one of our partner airlines. Let me look up the flight details, and we’ll see what we can do.
K: OK, thank you very much.
A: Well, I’ll change you to another one of our partners, so you should be able to make your transfer with time to spare.
K: That would be great! When is that flight?
A: It’s scheduled for two hours from now over at gate D26. It looks like the flight is fairly empty, so we can bump you up to first class if you’d like.

Kevin’s plane has just touched down at Narita International Airport.
K: Excuse me, ma’am. Do you know where I have to go to make my connecting flight?
F: You’re flying to Kaohsiung, right? It looks like gate 33. Head to the left to go through security, then, you can take the tram to gates 20-49.
(Kevin is a little lost after clearing security, so he heads to the information counter.)
R: Hello sir, how may I help you?
K: I’m trying to get to gate 33, but I can’t find the tram.
R: OK. You’ll have to go downstairs to get to the tram level. Do you see the stairs there?
K: Yes.
R: Go down those, take a left, and you should be able to follow the signs.
K: OK, got it. Is there anywhere to get a quick meal there?
R: There’s a food court immediately downstairs, as well as one by gate 30, so you can take your pick.
K: Great, thanks. My flight starts boarding in 30 minutes. Will that give me enough time?
R: Yes. The tram comes every five minutes, and it only takes two minutes to get to the next gate area.
